CLASSROOM EXPECTATIONS
My goal is to have a classroom environment that fosters exploration and a willingness to take risks in the acquisition of the Spanish language. The students and the teacher are all expected to demonstrate respect to one another.
In order to encourage students to participate fully, as well as go above and beyond, we will use Class Dojo in order to track behavior and keep it separate from the grade.

If you go into the negative, Sra. A will have a student-teacher conference with you in order for you to determine a plan to earn points and be more actively engaged in class.
If you continue to go into the negative, your parents will be informed and you will be required to serve a teacher detention.

- Using Spanish (outside of required activities & at teacher’s discretion) + 1pt
- Doing exemplary work + 1pt
- Taking academic risks (stepping out of your comfort zone in order to learn more) +1-2pts
- Volunteering to read aloud +1pt
Class Dojo points can be lost for:
- Using phone/technology when not allowed -1pt (Sra. A WILL take up your phone if necessary!)
- Speaking in English without permission -1pt
- Being off-task / causing disruptions -1pt
ClassDojo points can be redeemed for:
- Going to get water (1pt)
- Going to the bathroom (2pts)
- Entry into bi-weekly drawing (may submit up to 15pts per drawing)
- Entry into semester drawing (no limit, points re-start at semester)
- Warm-Up Pass - Brain Break (20pts)
- Sra. A brings you breakfast (40pts) *limit 1/quarter/student
